Everyone deserves a Doula
Hi, I’m Tanya.
Nearly before I became pregnant for the first time, it was my ultimate goal to educate myself on what to expect as a new mother and avoid medicalization and coercion. I realized how little we’ve been taught about the magic of our bodies and how empowering it felt to relearn our physiology and know that there were alternative options from what was ‘standard’ or ‘protocol’.
Let’s be honest, each and every one of us have different preferences and thrive in different circumstances. We are not a one-fits-all nor should we be! It was important for me to make choices that aligned with me best while also making the safest decision for my family. I ended up gaining so much from my own experience with personalized care that I decided to further my education and enter the beautiful and magical space of birth work so I can serve other women and new families who find themselves in a similar place. It really does take a village, and I’m here to be a part of yours!
The little things that have big impacts are often overlooked. I emphasize the importance of understanding physiological systems within and connecting with our bodies to have an optimal experience and entrance into new parenthood. What we experience can sometimes be unpredictable and our world has built a system that has created such disconnect in the most transformative life event! My calling to this work is to bring that connection and empowerment back to you and offer a grounding energy to your space. You were made to do this!
Below, you will find pricing for my doula offerings. Please know that I am always open to finding what works for you financially, whether that’s creating an alternative split payment plan or trading and bartering. I believe everyone deserves a doula which is why I offer alternatives. I understand hard times and wouldn’t want financial hardships to deter you from having personalized birth support by your side.

"My personal experience with Tanya as my doula could not have been any more perfect. She did such a fantastic job being my voice at the hospital, making sure to ask questions that I wouldn't have even thought to ask, explaining things to me when I seemed confused or out of it. She made the atmosphere so calm even when I was struggling really bad at times and she did everything in her power to ease my mind. I could not have asked for a more perfect person to be my doula! If my husband and I ever do decide to have another baby she is 100% my first choice to be with me every step of the way!”

"My experience with Tanya was absolutely lovely. Tanya is kind-spirited and gentle, making her approachable and easy to talk to. She came to all the prenatal appointments prepared and ready to listen and learn about my family and needs for my unmedicated delivery. Her attentiveness to my birth plan and needs paid off during my labor and I'm so grateful to her for that. She endured 24 hours of labor with me and never left my side for more than a food/bathroom break; she worked with the midwives to help my labor progress by offering different positions, she ensured my wishes and birth plan were respected, and she guided my husband in helping me with pain relief. She also was consistent with applying counter pressure throughout nearly the entire labor and I couldn't have made it through without that. I ended up with a successful VBAC delivery after a total of 34 hours of labor.
Tanya offered to take photos during my labor and was able to capture some beautiful moments while being mindful of the flash and noises the camera made. I never knew when she was taking photos and the end results were so special to me.
If Tanya had not been there, me and my husband agree that it would have been a very different experience. We would have felt so lost without her guidance and support. We hope she's available for our next baby's delivery!"
